PREPARES is a parish-based initiative of the Catholic Bishops of Washington State that provides unconditional support to pregnant women, fathers, and families.
The program offers a "walk the journey" approach, pairing families with trained volunteers who provide mentorship, emotional support, and essential items like diapers and clothing from pregnancy until the child’s fifth birthday. It is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds, aiming to ensure that no mother or child is left alone or abandoned during these critical early years.
FAITH
Faith is the bedrock upon which the Knights of Columbus is built. It is not simply a requirement for membership, but the driving force behind all that we do. As Catholic men, we are called to live out our faith in action, and that is precisely what we strive to do. Our faith inspires us to serve others, defend the sanctity of life, and promote the values of the Gospel in our communities. Through prayer, study, and fellowship, we strengthen our own faith and encourage that of our brother Knights and their families. The Knights of Columbus provides a space where Catholic men can deepen their relationship with God and support each other on their faith journeys.

CHARITY
Charity, the cornerstone of the Knights of Columbus, is deeply ingrained in our identity and actions. Inspired by the Gospel message to "Love thy neighbor as thyself," we are committed to putting our faith into action through selfless service. Our charitable work takes many forms, from supporting local food banks and shelters to assisting those with intellectual disabilities through programs like the Special Olympics. We raise funds for disaster relief, provide aid to those in need, and volunteer countless hours to strengthen our communities. Whether it's a helping hand, a generous donation, or simply a listening ear, we strive to embody Christ's love and compassion in all that we do. For the Knights of Columbus, charity is not merely an act, but a way of life.
